Fair questions

Why is the good stuff free?

Because it isn't ours. Land ownership, unit boundaries, draw results — it's government data your taxes produced. Charging for access to it is the incumbents' business model, not a law of nature.

What happens if OpenHunt shuts down?

The code is AGPL and the pipeline is public. Anyone — including you — can stand the whole thing up with one docker command. Your data exports anytime as GPX or GeoJSON.

Can I self-host and skip Pro?

Yes, genuinely. Run it yourself and you get sync and sharing on your own server. Pro is for people who'd rather pay $49 than run a server — that's the whole business.
